I am writing to protest the writing of the recently-aired Torchwood show "Children of Earth" in which the character Ianto Jones was killed. I've been a big fan of Torchwood for the past few years, and have grown attached to all the characters. For me, Jack and Ianto's relationship was one of my favorite parts of the show, and to kill off Ianto's character just when it's getting interesting seems unnecessary and unfair. I ask that you re-consider the decision to kill off Ianto, and that you find a way to bring him back as a regular cast member in the (hopefully) upcoming season.

It wasn't that I was a fan of the relationship so much, although I was, I was a bigger fan of the character himself. Ianto was just coming into is own and I was head over heals that someone that is always in the background can be something more. I saw myself in him and without his presence there I am not sure that I will be able to relate in any nano way to Torchwood.

Ianto was my favorite Torchwood character since the very beginning o the series. I can't imagine how Torchwood can continue without his character in the series. And if not for the fans, Ianto should return for Jack. It's quite cruel how Jack suffers so much and blames himself for everything that had happened. I think that Jack, after everything he has been through deserves the right to be happy. It's just not fair how he will blame himself for everyone's death although it wasn't his fault.
So I hope you will bring Ianto Jones back to life in any way possible and that he will return to being a member of Torchwood 3.

Once I found out Ianto dies I considered not watching anymore. I still am because Ianto is the character most people identify with. He had the best lines and not enough screen time. I would love for his character to continue on the show.

Ianto was my favourite character i loved his realationship with Jack and thought he brought the best in Jack. i also loved that we hardly new anything about his backround and that he was the coffee boy. He was one of the best things about Torchwood and i am just wondering how Davies can make the show as good as it was with Ianto in it.
I also dont like how it was cruel to Jack when Ianto died. And as Captain Jack said in the first ever episode he looks good in a suit.
Please bring him back Davies for the fans and for Jack, he brings a warmth to the show

Ianto was such an amazing character and everyone loved him. i would love to see jack and Ianto back together and to see their relationship grow into somthing more serious. Torchwood would never be the same without Ianto makeing random little comments in the background and his very strang but funny sense of humour.

We understand as fans of Torchwood that no main character is safe and to a part that is exciting. However killing off Owen, then Tosh, then Owen, and Now Ianto begins to push your fan base away because we become fearful of being attached. Dr.Who and Torchwood are known for the Sci-Fi bring backs. If you have any handy methods for bringing back our Tea boy please employ them. I and many others watched the show to see the development of his character as well as the relationship with Cap'n Jack. Please bring back Ianto Jones - and you'll bring back many fans who swore off the show at the end of Children of Earth

Without Ianto there will be no season 4 for me. Torchwood has lost so much from Tosh and Owen to the Hub and Myfanwy, it's not what I signed up for in the first place anymore. I loved the show, and wanted to give it another chance after Tosh and Owens death, but it ended up in ruins during Children of Earth. And getting insulted by the producer because I disagreed about CoE's brilliance didn't help to tie my to the show either. I'll only watch S4 if TPTB will take a step towards fans like me and bring back my favorite character Ianto.

ianto always held a special place in the family of torchwood, he was the skin that held it together. after tosh and owen died he kept jack fighting, now he is gone torchwood is a memory of what was, that is why we should bring him back.

you HAVE to bring ianto back not just for his relaitionship with jack (which was brilliant!) but for his awkwardness and loveable character. torchwood won't be the same without him and i believe that there would be a lot of vieers lost because of ianto not being there, it won't have the same grab as before. PLEASE BRING IANTO BACK EVEN IF ITS JUST LIKE THEY DID WITH OWEN AS A GHOST !
